'Dylan Dog: Dead of Night': No critics allowed

What is it? First movie based on the wildly popular (in Europe, anyway) series of comic books about a private eye (played by former Superman Brandon Routh) who specializes in affairs of the dead and whose business card reads: "No Pulse? No problem."

Why didn't Freestyle Releasing screen it for critics? We asked. Got no reply.

Why we'd see it: The comic has sold 60 million copies worldwide. Must be something interesting going on.

Why we wouldn't: The reviewers in Italy, where the comic is huge, apparently despised the film for its wholesale revision of the Dylan Dog mythology.
