East Ridge 18, 5080 South Terrace, will show the "Doctor Who" Christmas special in big-screen broadcasts starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, and Thursday, Dec. 29.
Each year, the acclaimed British television series offers a special holiday episode that either reveals upcoming plot points or reinforces a seasonal message.
In this episode, with brain-swapping aliens poised to attack, the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Nardole (Matt Lucas) link up with an investigate reporter (Charity Wakefield) and a mysterious figure known only as The Ghost (Justin Chatwin) in an effort to save Manhattan.
Run time is about 90 minutes.
Bonus programs include "The Doctor: A New Kind of Hero," which examines what makes the Doctor so heroic, and "Doctor Who Christmas Extra," which looks at the making of this episode.
