Chattanooga Now Holy Ghost Tent Revival in Studio '99

Have you ever been or hear of a hootenanny? Well, if not, let me tell you about it: a hootenanny is a gathering of musicians with various instruments and talent levels, typically at a location like ..say...a porch. The musicians get together and just play and have a good time, solely for the enjoyment of that single moment in time. Greensboro, NC based Holy Ghost Tent Revival (HGTR) remind me of good ole' fashioned hootenannies. This large band of young gents produces a sound with southern influences, but also rock, soul and big band thrown in the mix. They recently performed at JJ's Bohemia and I caught up with them before their set. This is good stuff. You'll be hearing about them in the future.
