Saintsgiving concert, pub crawl to benefit local nonprofits

Chattanooga Friends, a social/philanthropy group, has teamed up with a local band to present Saintsgiving, a Thanksgiving-themed concert and pub crawl from a new perspective.

The event is set for 7-11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will begin at The Crash Pad, 29 Johnson St., where The Cadillac Saints will be in concert. From there, participants will board the Chattanooga Double Decker bus and make their way through downtown Chattanooga, enjoying exclusive food and drink specials at participating establishments.

Proceeds will benefit the Children's Home/Chambliss Shelter.

"Thanksgiving is the time of year to not only give thanks but to give back to the community," said Matt Hodges, president of Chattanooga Friends. "We hope that people will come out and enjoy a fun evening, while making a difference in the lives of others."

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Thanksgiving-themed attire is encouraged. For tickets, visit www.chattfriends.com.
