William DeVan, a Juilliard-trained pianist, will present a Sunday With Steinway concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Summitt Pianos, 6209 Lee Highway. DeVan, who retired in May as professor of music and artist in residence at Birmingham-Southern College, was the first American winner of the Vianna da Motta international piano competition in Lisbon, Portugal. He has performed master classes around the world and developed the Classics for Children piano series, which led to him becoming a Steinway Presenter.
