Local reggae favorites Milele Roots will be joined by up and coming Soul Mechanic for a Halloween dance party this Halloween night at Rhythm & Brews. This will be the first time these two acts have joined forces, and they plan to make it a full night of funky collaboration. Fans can expect to hear some of their favorite Halloween jams in addition to original music by both groups.
Milele Roots is a 9-piece reggae band hailing from Chattanooga, that just recently celebrated their 16th year playing music together. Over the years they have shared the stage with The Wailers, Medeski Martin and Wood, G Love & Special Sauce, and the North Mississippi All-Stars. These are some talented musicians that won't hesitate to jam when the time is right. Along with their funky reggae tunes they have a loyal following that keeps you groovin' all night long.
Known for their innovative, bass-heavy sound, Soul Mechanic will offer its much-loved repertoire of funk mixed with fresh tracks and a dance-friendly ambiance. This trio really knows how to bring the house down once the night rolls around. Their influences include Widespread Panic, 311, and Red Hot Chili Peppers...but they really just sound like Soul Mechanic.
Come in costume, and come expecting to dance all night. These groups are bringing great music with a great vibe, and they are definitely going to pull out all the stops. Will it be a "Thriller" kind of night? Or maybe "Monster Mash"? The possibilities are endless. There will be a male/female costume contest, GET CREATIVE!
