Jazz on the Bluff is Sunday

April is National Jazz Appreciation Month, and Jazzanooga, a jazz-focused affiliate of The Creative Underground, will get its JAM on Sunday, April 7.

Jazz on the Bluff will be a daylong series of free concerts in two locations. The day will open at 10 a.m. in the Bluff View Art District with performances on the outdoor patio at Rembrandt's Coffeehouse, 400 E. Second St. At noon, performances will move to the Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View, for concerts in the museum's river view space and outdoor terrace. Music lasts until 4 p.m.

Scheduled to perform are The Undoctored Originals, Ben Friberg Trio, Booker T. Scruggs Jazz Ensemble, Danger Cube, UTC Jazz Band Ensemble, Normal Park School Jazz Band and The Creative Underground's Voices of Hope.
