"Nativitas," a holiday edition of the Counterpoint concert series, will be presented twice this weekend at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 848 Ashland Terrace.
Performances featuring mezzo soprano Sara Snider Schone, cellist Joshua Bermudez and pianist/composer Tim Hinck will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.
According to a news release, the program brings back three musicians featured in a September Counterpoint program for a concert of music, both old and new, that is in some way tied to the Nativity. The proceeds will go toward an upcoming opera project with the Artisti Affamati opera company, featuring a new opera by Hinck.
