Chattanooga Now Bluegrass gospel in Etowah

Three Southeast Tennessee bluegrass ensembles will serve up their signature sounds with a little toe-tapping worship at the annual John F. Studdard Memorial Gospel Concert on Saturday, Feb. 9, in Etowah, Tenn.

The show starts at 7 p.m. in the Gem Theatre, 700 S. Tennessee Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Performing are Just Us, Reliance and By the Way. The finale will be an all-group hymn sing.

The concert is named for a founding member of the Hiwassee Ridge bluegrass band, member of the Etowah Arts Commission and founder/coordinator of the Cousin Jake Memorial Bluegrass Festival, which is held each March at the Gem. Studdard died in 2008 at age 59.
