Abandon Kansas, an indie-rock act that has released three albums and logged more than 800 headlining dates since forming in 2006, will play Tuesday, June 25, at JJ's Bohemia, 235 E. M.L. King Blvd. Once signed to Christian indie label Gotee Records ("the only label ... that understood how we wanted to walk the line between the Christian and general market"), the band is now independent once more with the release of "A Midwest Summer," for now a three-song digital precursor to a parent release due later this year. The all-ages show also features Behold the Brave and The Gills. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $8. For more information, call 423-266-1400 or visit www.myspace.com/jjsbohemia.
