The Cleveland, Tenn.-based barbershop chorus Sound of Tennessee will open Bradley Concerts Inc.'s 2013-14 concert season. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Conn Center at Lee University.

The 15-year-old chorus entertains with a variety of musical styles -- barbershop, blues, gospel, American standards, patriotic tunes and pop classics -- all delivered in four-part harmony and a cappella. The group is led by music director Chad Guyton, also a member of the barbershop quartet Four Voices, the first group in the history of the Barbershop Harmony Society to win the prestigious gold medal in both the collegiate and international men's competition.

Sound of Tennessee is the first of four shows for Bradley Concerts, a nonprofit organization formerly known as the Cleveland Bradley Concert Association. Next up, on Monday, Oct. 28, will be The Diamonds, performing 1950s and '60s rock standards, such as "Chantilly Lace," "Rock Around the Clock" and "Little Darlin'."

In the spring, the Jesse Lynch Jazz 101 concert will take listeners through a century of jazz through music and video. The season will close with Frank D'Ambrosio, who logged more than 2,300 performances in "The Phantom of the Opera" to become the longest-running phantom on Broadway. He will entertain with show tunes, songs from World War II and stories about his loud Italian family.

Season tickets, good for all four shows, are $50 for adults, $110 for a family of four. They may be purchased in advance or at the door. Those who wish to attend only the Sound of Tennessee concert may purchase $15 tickets at the door.
