The Noblemen will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the monthly gospel singing at First Church of the Nazarene, 5455 North Terrace. The Southern gospel group originally began in 1952 on a radio show in Fort Payne, Ala., then later re-formed in Chattanooga in the early 1960s. Since then, more than 60 singers and musicians have performed with the group. Current members are, clockwise from left, Jim Halenar (drums), Mike Hartley (baritone), Chuck Teague (tenor), Mike Turnmire (keyboard), Dave Dameron (bass) and John Wayne Hamilton (lead).
