Call for gospel performers at upcoming Kyle memorial

A memorial gospel singing is being planned for accident victims Gil and Anna Kyle, organizers of the Thursday night gospel singings at the Dayton, Tenn., McDonald's for many years.

Mr. Kyle, 89, was killed on impact Wednesday, June 25, in a car/semi accident in front of the Walmart in Dayton. Mrs. Kyle, 83, died from her injuries early Thursday morning, June 26.

The memorial concert will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Gospel Singing Hall near Rite Aid on Rhea County Highway.

"We are inviting all former singers that have sung and played at McDonald's to come and join us in this night of a celebration of their life," organizers said in a news release.

A joint graveside service for the Kyles has been set for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Christianburg Cemetery in Sweetwater, Tenn. Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton is handling arrangements.
