The Earl Brackin Band takes the stage for River City Sessions on Friday

The Earl Brackin Band, who took bluegrass to Sochi, Russia, during the Winter Olympics, will be among three acts at River City Sessions, the monthly collaboration of poets, authors, storytellers and musicians whose work honors life in the South. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, at The Camp House, 1427 Williams St.; doors open at 7 p.m. Also performing will be India Ramey, whose first album, 2010's "Junkyard Angel," was nominated for an Independent Music Award, and the cast of "Twisted Roots," an upcoming theatrical production based on the poetry of Emma Bell Miles.
