Austin, Texas-based band Leopold and his Fiction, one of American Songwriter's "favorite acts" at South by Southwest, will play Wednesday, May 28, at JJ's Bohemia, 221 E. M.L. King Blvd. Besides recently touring with Shooter Jennings and Reverend Peyton, the band gained much notice at SXSW, with the Austin American-Statesmen noting lead singer Daniel James' "sexy rock strut" and "the hardest-working mustache" at the festival. The band, said American Songwriter, "took the stage as unknowns and successfully swept a crowd ... off their feet and into spirited bouts of dancing, clapping and singing." Also on the bill Wednesday are Turbo Fruits and Tessla Rossa. The show starts at 9 p.m. with an $8 cover. For more information, visit www.jjsbohemia.com.
