The Mid-South Symphonic Band will host a Christmas concert Sunday afternoon, Dec. 11, in Ringgold, Ga.

The program will feature holiday favorites past and present. Included are such classics as "The Holly and the Ivy" and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" to novelties from the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and a salsa arrangement of "Good King Wenceslas."

Founded in 1990, the Mid-South Symphonic Band is an all-volunteer ensemble of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area performing under the direction of Jim Souders. Their ranks include professional musicians, retirees, college students, teachers and professionals.

The show starts at 3 p.m. in the Ringgold High School Performing Arts Center, 28 Tiger Trail. Admission is free.
