Chattanooga Girls Rock Camp concludes with showcase concert

The young participants in the inaugural Chattanooga Girls Rock Camp will present a showcase concert at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Revelry Room, 41 E. 14th St.

Special guest performer will be Beverly "Guitar" Watkins, a Georgia Music Legend Award winner who played with the legendary Piano Red as a teen starting in 1959 and now fronts blues band The King Bees.

Chattanooga Girls Rock Camp, a day camp happening this week, is enabling aspiring musicians to borrow instruments of their choice, receive instruction, form a band, write original songs and be mentored by professional musicians before getting the chance to show off their skills in concert.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door starting at noon Saturday or in advance at revelryroom.co.
