Mizpah Congregation presents concert of classical vocal music

"Hear, O Israel," a concert of classical vocal music in the Jewish tradition, will be presented at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at Mizpah Congregation, 923 McCallie Ave.

Voci Virili Men's Consort and Voice of Reason Women's Ensemble will perform works by composers Bernstein, Britten, Cohen, Copland, Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Ravel and more.

Soloists during the performance will be Marianna Allen, Nell Reid, Michael Mays, Harv Wilman, Jonathan Leo, Jack DuRoy and Jonathan Ten Brink. Larry Brown will blow the shofar.

The concert will be preceded by Mizpah's annual meeting at 1:30 p.m.
