More than 30 years after forming Drivin' N' Cryin', founders Kevn Kinney and Tim Nielsen are still rocking and enthusiastic about performing with the Southern rock band.

They've got plans to cut a new record this fall, so folks attending Friendship House Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 26, might get a preview of their new music. Drivin' N' Cryin' is headlining Northwest Georgia's largest music festival, held in Dalton Green in downtown Dalton, Ga.

Connector 3 will open for the headliners. Also performing Saturday afternoon will be Julia Cole, Lefty Williams, The Bitteroots and Sneary Family Band. Their performances will cover the musical spectrum from rock to bluegrass, soul to modern pop hits.

In addition to great music, the day will include food trucks, beverages and activities for all ages.

Friendship House was founded in 1958 as a local ministry to serve needs of community children and their families. Today the full-time child-care program offers preschool education and child care for 100 children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
