Five years after parting ways with Sugarland partner Kristian Bush to pursue music independently, Nettles appeared onstage with him at the 2017 CMA Awards to present the award for vocal duo of the year - totally catching the country music industry and its fans off guard. That surprise immediately launched speculation that Sugarland was reuniting - which has since been confirmed.
But local fans don't have to wait until next year when Sugarland begins touring to hear Nettles. Her one-woman Christmas show stops in the Tivoli Theatre on Monday, Dec. 18, for a performance at 7:30 p.m.
Nettles' tour has partnered with World Vision in its #ShineBright movement to inspire kindness across America. The humanitarian organization's mission is to help people out of poverty by providing gifts of livestock, medicine and other necessities to families in need.
