Connection 27, a band whose repertoire encompasses traditional, progressive and gospel bluegrass, will be among the guests for this month's installment of River City Sessions, starting at 7:30 tonight, Jan. 12, at Granfalloon, 400 E. Main St.
Founded in June 2014, the band features Tim Smith (guitar, vocals), Doug Barron (fiddle, vocals), John Shook (bass, vocals), Jeff Graves (mandolin, vocals) and Jimmy Redden (banjo), from left.
Also in the lineup are local blues/folk/rock musician Webb Barringer and poet Corrie White, who will do a reading and assist RCS founder Michael Gray with co-hosting duties.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with a $5 admission.
