Cleveland native returns for Lee's Presidential Concert Series

Soprano Susannah Biller Kness, originally from Cleveland, Tenn., will be featured Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Presidential Concert Series at Lee University.

Her concert will start at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall, 340 N. Church St. on the Cleveland, Tenn., campus.

Biller Kness has drawn praise from the Dallas Morning News for "incandescent, exquisitely supple soprano" and from the Chicago Tribune for her "light, sweet lyric voice and coloratura agility."

Opera Today has described her voice as "bright and flexible with a good bloom on top and a tiny bit of steel in it."

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for seniors and students.

They may be purchased in advance through the Dixon Center box office, 1053 Church St. NE, which is open 3-6 p.m. weekdays.
