Dubbed "India's biggest cultural export," the Raghu Dixit Project is bringing a cultural experience to The Camp House on Saturday night, April 1, that totally immerses its audience in India's culture.

The evening begins with a traditional Indian dinner, catered by Dosa Hut Indian Cuisine, at 6:30 p.m. before the performance begins at 8 o'clock. This is a family-friendly experience billed as "happy music" that encourages the audience to "dance with joy."

Raghupathi Dwarakanath Dixit is an Indian singer-songwriter, producer and composer as well as frontman for the five-piece band that includes Gaurav Vaz on bass guitar, Joe Jacob on drums, Sanjay Kumar on guitars and Narayan Sharma on violin.

The band is known for taking ancient Kannada poetry and presenting it with a contemporary, global sound. The group has played more than 1,500 concerts in 30 countries. From their colorful lungis (traditional garments of India) to their rooted, earthy sound, they represent modern India.
