Pride of the Southland Band stops in Chattanooga on Friday

The University of Tennessee "Pride of the Southland" Marching Band will present a live concert on Friday, Oct. 20, at noon in First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Reggie White Blvd., according to Dr. Donald D. Ryder, director of bands.

The UTK marching band will stop in town on its way to the UTK-Alabama football game. The Vols play Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 21, in Tuscaloosa at 3:30 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Concertgoers may notice several familiar faces among the musicians. Musicians from the greater Chattanooga area playing in the marching band are Brandon Brimer, Donovan Deeter, Trevor Ditman, Nykira Faber, Darbi Flaherty, Joseph Greer, Alex Hall and Seth Hall.

Nicholas Hill, Brianna Hudson, Makaylee Jones, Alexus Keith, Carli Larson, Samantha LeDuc, Harrison Lewis, Will Luke, Rachel Manandhar, Nathan Massengale, Sarah McHone and John Middleton.

Also, Gabe Nunley, Lucas Pilla, Jared Pyron, Jordan Pyron, Sydney Shaver, Savannah Smith, Deidria Tankersley and Hayden Womack.
