New UTC Men's Chorus is looking for interested singers

A new male chorus comprised of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga students and experienced community singers is being formed at UTC under the direction of Alison Allerton, assistant professor of choral music education at UTC.

The UTC Men's Chorus is looking for interested singers, says Allerton. The group will rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cadek Hall, 725 Oak St., on UTC's campus. No audition is required.

Scheduled performances for the new chorus include singing the national anthem prior to a UTC men's basketball game in McKenzie Arena, a spring concert with the UTC Women's Chorale and a concert of major works accompanied by an orchestra featuring all of the UTC choirs.

Contact director Allerton at Alison-Allerton@utc.edu for more information, or arrive by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Cadek Hall.
