Mobile, Alabama-based singer-songwriter and folk artist Abe Partridge will stop in Ziggy's on Monday, July 2, as part of his tour supporting his new album "Cotton Fields and Blood for Days."

Matthew Paul Revere will open the 7 p.m. show at Ziggy's, 607 Cherokee Blvd.

"Cotton Fields and Blood for Days" debuted in April at No. 19 on the EuroAmericana Radio Chart. Music blog The Rocking Magpie said, "Like the very best of his ilk, Partridge is no one-trick pony it's his haunting acoustic ballads about his hometown that make him stand out from his contemporaries and peers; and not just because he sounds like every single word comes from the darkest recesses of his worn-out heart."

When Partridge was 18, he had aspirations of becoming a minister. Before accepting a ministerial position in Kentucky, he tried working as a day laborer. Partridge left the ministry for the Air Force and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Partridge recorded "White Trash Lipstick" in Nashville in 2016, an album featuring a lineup of alt-country tunes.

The Ziggy's show is open to ages 21 and older. Admission is by donation.
