Did you miss out on getting tickets to the new Moon River Music Festival that's happening this weekend in Coolidge Park?

You can still join the fun at the Moon River Back Street Bash.

Come party on the North Shore during the music festival. The festival takes place Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 8-9, with 22 acts performing.

The North Shore Merchants Collective is taking advantage of the closed River Street parking lot behind a few of the Frazier Avenue businesses to throw a Back Street party during the weekend, extending the festival atmosphere outside its fence. The parking lot will be transformed into a turf paradise with lawn games and music. Folks from Chattanooga Presents will pour an assortment of cool beverages, from local craft beer to cocktails.

Local chalk artist Alex Turner will create chalk art masterpieces on the parking lot's pavement, and visitors will be able to join in the fun creating their own drawings.

Many North Shore shops and restaurants will offer Moon River specials, discounts and promotions throughout the weekend.

A number of River Street restaurants - including Sushi Nabe, Cashew and River Street Deli - will extend seating into the parking lot so visitors can enjoy their food al fresco.

Festival organizers say 10,000 tickets were sold to the festival, with 61 percent of them bought by out-of-town guests. Whether you were among those 10,000 ticketholders or not, there are several festival rules everyone should be aware of.

» River Street will be closed to vehicle traffic.

» The festival entrance will be located on the dead-end loop beside the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.

» Parking will be at a premium. Organizers advise parking on the south side of the river and walking across bridges or catching an Uber or Lyft ride to the site. The official pickup/drop-off point is 405 River St.

» Strollers and picnic blankets will be permitted on the festival grounds; wagons and lawn chairs will not.

» All patrons and belongings are subject to search, and prohibited items will be removed at the discretion of the front-gate and security staff.

» Pass/ticket/wristband user assumes all risks of personal injury incidental to the event, whether occurring during or after the event.

» The resale or attempted resale of passes/tickets/wristbands at a price higher than that appearing on the face of the ticket is prohibited. If discovered, the ticket will be voided without refund.

» Moon River provides a complimentary bike valet for those cycling to and from the festival. The valet will be located just off River Street near Outdoor Chattanooga and the Walnut Street Bridge.
