Normally, FYI Weekend delivers news of community events the weekend they happen. But that seemed like a cheat for guys who need more than a few hours' head start for the fifth annual Moustache Friday celebration, scheduled March 26 at area bars.
You don't have to sport a 'stache to go to the party, but men with moustaches are the only ones who get drink specials. So for the sake of cheap beer, consider this the start of the week you grow a lip warmer. Fake moustaches are not permitted.
Last year, 75 moustaches, a record number, were photographed at the event, according to organizers. There is no competition, and no prizes are awarded.
