Tellabration events set

Tellabration, the international event when storytelling guilds around the world sponsor storytelling concerts, is occurring over the next two weekends.

Two regional storytelling events have been announced.

Cleveland, Tenn.

Cleveland Storytelling Guild in conjunction with Cleveland State Community College will host Tellabration over two days in two locations.

Tellers participating at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Foundation Room of the CSCC Student Center will be Ricki Love, Bruce Hopson, Vincent Phipps, Maurine Olin, Steve Daugherty, Owen Duncan and Deborah Holland. Cleveland State is at 3535 Adkisson Drive.

Tellabration will continue Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Cleveland Public Library, 795 Church St., NE.

Cleveland Storytelling Guild members Vincent Phipps, Deborah Holland, Owen Duncan, Pete Vanderpool, Joyce Vanderpool and Vicki Hardesty, as well as student Alix Singleton will present the program.

Fort Payne, Ala.

Storytelling in the Canyon, the Tellabration event in DeKalb County, Ala., will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. CST at Little River Canyon Center, 472 Highway 35, in Fort Payne.

Join Renee Morrison and other Alabama storytellers for this free event, which includes an open stage for youth and novice tellers.
