Plant Sale begins

The Marie Humphreys Spring Wildflower Festival & Native Plant Sale opens today and runs through Sunday.

Hundreds of native trees, shrubs and wildflowers will be available at the three-day sale, which starts today at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Botanical Garden, 400 Garden Road.

* 3:30 p.m. Guided wildflower walk (meet at barn entrance)

Saturday

* 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Native Plant Sale

* 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Book signing by Mary Patten Priestley, author of new children's book, "William's Wildflowers," about flowers that grow in the Chattanooga area

* 7:30 a.m. Bird walk starting at Chattanooga Nature Center; call 821-1160, ext. 0, to register

* 9:30 a.m. "Natures Pollinators" (meet behind the barn)

* 10 a.m. Guided wildflower walk of Upper Trail (meet at barn entrance); walk is fairly strenuous; sturdy shoes, water and bug spray recommended

* 10:30 a.m. Flower pressing workshop (meet behind the barn)

* 3 p.m. Guided wildflower hike of Upper Trail (meet at barn entrance); sturdy shoes, bug spray and water recommended
