Spay-Ghetti dinner for Wally's Friends

Carrabba's chefs will prepare dinner downtown Tuesday for the annual Spay-Ghetti No Meatballs dinner benefiting Wally's Friends.

The dinner will raise funds for National Spay Day, an effort to stop pet overpopulation.

In addition to a meal of Carrabba's favorites, the evening will include beer and wine selections and a coffee bar.

Dinner will be served from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Warehouse Row Event Space, 1110 Market St.

Cost is $25 per person, and advance tickets are required.

Since opening four years ago, Wally's Friends has altered almost 40,000 animals in Chattanooga and surrounding rural counties.

Crossville, Tenn., residents can take part in the second annual Wags & Whiskers Spay-ghetti Dinners throughout February at Genesis Italian Grille, 229 Interstate Drive, 931-707-9800. A $10 ticket to benefit community spay and neuter programs entitles the bearer to a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and a soft drink (gratuity not included).
