Chattanooga Now Beast Feast featured at Chattanooga Market

What: Beast Feast at Chattanooga Market.

When: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Where: First Tennessee Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Blvd.

Admission: Free ($1 charge for barbecue samples; plates individually priced by vendors).


Sample barbecue from five local restaurants and caterers when Chattanooga Market sponsors its annual Beast Feast on Sunday in First Tennessee Pavilion.

Visitors have the option of buying $1 Bar-B-Que Bites from each of the pitmasters or purchasing a plate from their grilling favorite.

Plates will be individually priced by each restaurant.

Melissa Siragusa, market spokeswoman, said five barbecue vendors had signed up for the Beast Feast by Tuesday, with the possibility of more joining by today. The five are Sweeney's, Porker's, Cornerstone Barbecue, On the List and Lockhart's.

The vendors will be serving pork, beef and chicken in all flavors and heat levels of sauces.

Pitmasters from each vendor will compete to be named Beast Feast's Best Barbecue.

Siragusa said about 150 vendors of arts, crafts and produce are expected to participate.

There will be live music by the KZ106 Stratoblasters and by Dark Hollow Band.
