The Spring Wildflower Festival & Native Plant Sale, a quarter-century tradition at Reflection Riding, is back on the calendar for this weekend, though only the plant sale will take place. The series of walks, workshops and other programs usually associated with the festival will not take place.

Originally set for three days, March 30-April 1, the sale was postponed indefinitely after "a setback in the nursery" affected the quality of the plants offered to the public, said volunteer coordinator Mary Katherine Harper.

The rescheduled sale will take place today and Saturday at the Chattanooga Arboretum & Nature Center. There will be no events Sunday.

Dozens of native plants, from Allegheny spurge to American yellowwood are available, divided into categories that note requirements for sun exposure, soil and moisture, as well as bloom period, height, color and each plant's attractiveness to various wildlife.

A plant list can be found at www.chattanoogaanc.org.
