Two comedians familiar to listeners of Sirius/XM satellite radio will bring their sly wit to the Tivoli Theatre on Tuesday. Carl Hurley and Jeanne Robertson often work solo but will team up for this matinee appearance on their Double Funny Comedy Tour.

In his press material, Hurley, part of a family of natural-born storytellers from the hills of Laurel County, Ky., says he mines humor in the things everyone has in common, "even though in some ways we are as different as cornbread and caviar."

Robertson, a North Carolina native, believes that humor is an attitude that can be developed and improved. She outlines that strategy with funny, original stories.

Frequent topics are her height (she's 6-foot-2 "barefooted with her hair mashed down"), her Miss Congeniality win in a Miss America pageant long, long ago, and her husband, children and grandchildren, especially since Grandma's gone viral on YouTube.
