A new fundraiser benefiting Girls Inc. will live up to its billing. Mix It Up, scheduled Saturday, Feb. 9, will include an array of cultural foods, creative cocktails, unexpected entertainment and a live auction. Events begin at 7 p.m. at Loose Cannon Gallery, 1800 Rossville Ave.

Events With Taste is catering the meal, which will give attendees a chance to savor food with Asian/South American, Mediterranean/Southern and Italian/Mexican fused ingredients.

Entertainment will include a stand-up comedian, the chance to play musical instruments from around the world provided by Folk School of Chattanooga, a henna artist, a juggler/magician and mini art exhibitions. Surprise appearances by other special guests will happen throughout the night.

After a live auction of items not commonly found in stores, the event will transform into a dance party from 9 to 11 p.m. featuring Northwest Georgia's DJ D-Low.

Proceeds benefit programs that empower girls ages 6-18 to be themselves, try new things, take positive risks and create their own paths to a successful future.

Tickets to the 21-and-older party are $65 per person, $125 for couples and $240 for bundles of four. They may be purchased at
