Benefit bass tournament at Chester Frost (June 15)

The Chattanooga Bass Assassins, a private bass fishing club, will present the third annual Christopher J. Robertson Never Give Up Cancer Benefit Bass Tournament on Chickamauga Lake on Saturday, June 15.

This year's tournament will benefit Tristin Greer, 16, who was diagnosed three years ago with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a cancer that forms in the nerve tissue. According to tournament organizers, Tristin, son of a Chattanooga firefighter, is undergoing treatment in a trial program that requires regular travel to and from Michigan. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward Tristin's medical, travel and related expenses.

The open tournament is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Chester Frost Park, 2318 N. Gold Point Circle. Cost to participate is $60 per boat. Prizes include a cash payout to the first-place finisher.
