Bluegrass Music Party at Folk School

Five instructors are lined up for an afternoon of workshops Saturday, May 11, at the Folk School of Chattanooga. When the Bluegrass Learning Fest is done, the Bluegrass Music Party begins.

Set to teach are five masters of their instruments: John Boulware (fiddle), Roy Curry (guitar), Matt Flinner (mandolin), Gordy Nichol (upright bass) and Jim Pankey (banjo).

The workshops start at 1 p.m. and culminate in an instructor jam/performance at 3:30 p.m., followed by jamming the rest of the day. Potluck dishes will be served. Beverages are bring your own.

All are welcome to bring their instruments to participate in the jam sessions. General admission is $5.
