Details of Chattanooga's latest dining adventure are still a secret, but it's almost time for a few revelations.
On Tuesday, May 14, Doug Wheelock, the self-proclaimed Dishcrawl ambassador, will lead registered diners on a tour of four Southside eateries aimed at being both a culinary and social experience. At each restaurant, participants may get to sample a tapas-size specialty of the house or perhaps something the chef has created just for the occasion.
"It's a guessing game," Wheelock said in a news release.
Names of the restaurants haven't been divulged yet, but ticket- holders will be notified of where to meet via email 48 hours before the event. In the meantime, Wheelock promises to provide hints on Twitter via @DishcrawlChatt.
Vegetarian options are available for diners, though restaurants may not be able to accommodate other dietary restrictions, Wheelock said.
Drinks are not included in the $45 ticket price, but drink specials with food pairings may be available at the chefs' discretion.
"We'll spend about 45 minutes in each restaurant, so you'll walk in, be seated, order a drink and hopefully meet someone new and have a conversation," Wheelock previously told the Times Free Press.
The event will be between 7 and 9:30 p.m., rain or shine.
