The Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut St., will offer its annual Gingerbread Workshops starting this weekend. The first five sessions are scheduled Friday-Sunday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
These gatherings have become a holiday tradition for many families, according to museum officials.
While holiday tunes play, children and parents decorate a gingerbread house and cookies with icing and candy. The best part for parents is that museum staff will handle the cleanup.
The workshops will be held at various times in the museum's Celebration Room through Sunday, Dec. 22. Each lasts about an hour. Registration is required due to limited space.
The cost is $25 for member families, $45 for nonmembers, which includes museum admission for three people. "Winter Wonders" is the current exhibit. Payment is due at registration.
