Bouncing beach ball competitions are part of the fun during Secret Keeper Girl's Crazy Hair Tour, stopping Saturday in Chattanooga.Everything from the gravity-defying braids of a Cindy Lou Who 'do to the unkempt, static charge of bedhead could be expected Saturday, Feb. 1, as Secret Keeper Girl returns to Chattanooga on the Crazy Hair Tour.
The production, designed for girls ages 8-13, will include a fashion show, wacky games, Bible teaching and one-on-one time for mothers and daughters. It's billed as "the most fun a mom & daughter will ever have digging into God's word."
The goal of Secret Keeper is to teach tweens about modesty and purity. The name of the organization is taken from the book of the same name by creator Dannah Gresh that teaches teen girls how to keep the deepest secrets of their beauty for just one man.
The Chattanooga stop is presented by First Things First, a family advocacy agency. FTF's newsletter says the show "teaches lessons about friendship, modesty and beauty with great inspirational messages for moms and girls alike."
The Crazy Hair Tour includes plenty of audience interaction, bouncing beach ball competitions, confetti cannons and balloon sculptures.
FTF officials say last year's show was "an overwhelming sellout," and this year's crowd is expected to be large as well. At press time, the VIP party was sold out.
Event organizers say moms and daughters should eat before they arrive and take care to stay together in the crowded event hall.
Attendees also are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing -- and, of course, go crazy with their hair.
