Fans of the Osborn series follow the further adventures of a Sherlock Holmes accidentally transported by Dr. Skye Chadwick through a wormhole into the 21st century. In these novels, Osborn draws upon her more than 20 years of working in civilian and military space programs to craft a storyline blending classic Holmesiana with real science.

The special guests, as well as other authors, artists and panelists, will make several appearances with readings, autograph sessions and panel discussions throughout the weekend. There also will be art exhibits, a puppet show, steampunk costuming fundamentals workshops and group discussions on everything from NASA to global warming.

There also will be a panel discussion on the messiest ways to kill a zombie.

"Every year is slightly more disturbing than the last one, but it's incredibly fun," says vice-chair Derek Spraker.

The weekend also offers gaming opportunities and a session on how to break into the gaming art world.

"We've got right at 100 panelists overall, with right at 48 authors and 20 artists or so," says Spraker. "It's a huge turnout, and we have a lot of first-time guests."
