The Little Made Market, debuting Saturday in the Highland Park area, will showcase a variety of handcrafted goods, such as garden tools, vases, mugs, textiles, jewelry, knives, key chains, barrettes and stuffed toys.
A new grassroots craft fair sprouts Saturday, May 24, in Highland Park.
The Little Made Market, according to organizers Morgan Claborn and Khristy Wilkinson, is not only "a celebration of all things handmade," but "a celebration of the creative community in and around Chattanooga."
"We think the crafters in our area deserve a locally focused, independent craft show, and it is important for consumers to have access to the goods they can buy locally rather than corporately," they say in a statement on their website, www.littlemade.com.
Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Little Made Market will give crafters, artisans and homesteaders a venue for selling their goods directly to consumers. The event will take place in the parking lot behind the St. Andrew's Center, 1918 Union Ave.
The Missing Link, King of Pops and Off Grid Juice will provide concessions. A DJ will play tunes, and there will be 50/50 raffles and games of cornhole to play.
Admission is free.
