There are many shades of green at Rock City, from the natural kind to human-designed efforts to protect the Earth.
Find out more at the seventh annual celebration of EarthDayz, scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday through Sunday, April 22-24.
Visitors will see how art and nature enhance each other through local wildlife, make-and-take recycling projects and educational demonstrations, such as how to build rain barrels.
Live animal encounters include a deer from Amicalola Deer Park, an owl from Wings To Soar and various animal ambassadors from Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center.
EarthDayz revolves around Rock City's commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle, its stewardship of nature and its commitment to education and the environment.
Most events are included in regular admission: $19.95 adults, $11.95 children 3-12. Rock City is at 1400 Patten Road on Lookout Mountain.
