The Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga is sponsoring its Fall Home & Remodeling Show on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27-28, in the Chattanooga Convention Center, sponsored by EPB Fiber Optics.

The exhibit hall will be filled with 170 booths representing 100 exhibitors, says Cynthia Blackwell, special events coordinator of the Home Builders Association. Exhibits are geared toward remodeling projects, new builds and landscape designs, all displaying what's new in home products, materials and services. Vendors will range from the large, big-box stores such as Home Depot to local small businesses such as Turn2Us Handyman Service.

Booths will be staffed with knowledgeable professionals to answer questions, give advice and suggest products to make a do-it-yourselfer's job easier. While there, visitors can register to win giveaways.

Blackwell says that the KidKlout car, which raises awareness against bullying, will be on-site Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. for kids to sign the pledge car.

A portion of admission proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
