Families can ring in the new year with a special after-hours skate at Ice on the Landing at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, 1400 Market St.
In addition to regular hours (11 a.m.-10:30 p.m.) at regular admission ($10 adults, $8 children 12 and younger) on Saturday, Dec. 31, the outdoor rink will host a New Year's Eve Late Skate from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Special pricing is $25 for adults and $20 for children.
Skaters will celebrate with souvenir lighted red balloons, music from DJ Scuba Steve and a sparkling cider toast at midnight.
The Krystal Cruiser will be on-site throughout the night, and the hot chocolate wagon will serve up toasty drinks and Nutella crepes.
