Organizers of the Harrison Ruritan Club Open Car Show are never sure what vehicles may roll through the gates, but there are always plenty of trophies to go around.

The show returns from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Highway. Judges will start with 100 trophies - the five top finishers in each of 20 classes of competition for cars, trucks and motorcycles. And then award seven specialty trophies: Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Most Unique, Best Tire & Wheel, Best Club Participation and Best of Show.

Registration starts at 8 a.m., and judging is at noon, rain or shine. The first 150 vehicles registered get a dash plate. Early arrivals also can take part in a church service at 11 a.m.

Registration for the show is $20 in advance, $25 day of. Goody bags and door prizes will be awarded. Spectator admission is free. Food concessions will be available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit various community service projects supported by the club, including college scholarships, student citizenship awards and the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department.
