High-flying disc catchers looking to be top dog

Teams from North and South America, Europe and Asia have returned to Chattanooga this week to crown the top dogs in these flying disc competitions.

After two days of preliminary events at Camp Jordan in East Ridge, the field moves to Coolidge Park, 150 River St., through the weekend.

Competition in the Skyhoundz Classic Last Chance Open Qualifier begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, with awards at 6 p.m.

The World Championship in Open, MicroDog Sport and Youth divisions begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, with awards at 6 p.m.

The World Championship in Sport, MicroDog Open and Pairs Freestyle divisions begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, with awards at 5 p.m.

Spectator admission is free.
