Cowboy up! St. Jude Rodeo continues through Saturday at Doug Yates Farm

Roping, riding and steer wrestling are on tap when the St. Jude Rodeo opens tonight, Aug. 3, at Doug Yates Farm, 11738 Alabama Highway in Ringgold, Ga.

The rodeo continues through Saturday, Aug. 5. Gates open at 6 p.m. each night, before competition starts at 8.

This is the 20th anniversary of the rodeo to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. At this Professional Cowboy Association-sanctioned event, riders and ropers compete in bareback bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, cowgirl's barrel racing, cowgirl's breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling and team roping.

Admission is $20 adults, $10 children 6-12, free for ages 5 and younger.

To get to the St. Jude Rodeo site, take exit 348 off I-75 in Ringgold. Head south on Highway 151 toward LaFayette and Yates Farm is six miles from I-75 on the right side of the highway.
