Santa Pub Crawl is a cool Yule tradition

Looking to put some ho-ho-ho in what might otherwise be a ho-hum Saturday night?

Join the Santa Pub Crawl - one of the merriest fundraisers of each holiday season - on Saturday, Dec. 16. This annual toy drive for the Salvation Army raised more than 1,500 toys and $4,500 last year for the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Everyone ages 21 or older is invited to put on their Santa suit, elf shoes or just festive holiday attire and join other adults making holiday rounds of more than a half-dozen downtown venues. Admission is one new, unwrapped toy for donation. Salvation Army Tree receptacles will be located at each stop on the crawl to drop off donations.

Buses will run from Clyde's On Main and Feed Co. Table and Tavern, both on West Main Street, to Patten Parkway between 4 and 6 p.m., according to Barrett Taylor with Gig City Productions.

Each restaurant and bar on the crawl will offer food and drink specials during their crawl hours, as well as a raffle.
