The spring Meacham Writers' Workshop opens tonight, March 23, for three days of readings and seminars with visiting authors, faculty of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and community authors. The workshop is designed for anyone interested in literature, language or becoming a better writer.
Aspiring writers were invited to submit manuscripts by March 3 for seminars that will be held Saturday morning, March 25, at UTC. During these seminars, visiting writers may choose to focus on specific techniques and skills, select sample student works as illustration, or briefly review submissions for that seminar.
This year's visiting writers are Sue Silverman, Allison Joseph, Jon Tribble, Jess Barksdale, Danielle Hanson and Meredith Russo.
While the seminar's deadline for work has closed, the public is welcome to sit in on a seminar or attend any of the free readings offered as part of the workshop.
